For the Exquisite Corpse Soundscape project, I/we took inspiration from Marcel Duchamp and John Cage. They were two revolutionary figures in the realms of visual art and music and have had a profound and lasting impact on the evolution of digital art. The goal of the project was to create music with random sounds that do not necessarily sound great together. First, I gathered five audio files; some I produced, and others were taken from the internet. Then, we did a sound editing lab through Audition in class. We imported our audio clips or sound files into Audition three times and spread them out but kept them overlapping. I then added a clip of my own voice and cut that audio in half. I then played with the sound by adding effects, changing the speed, and putting some audio in reverse. After doing this lab, I used the same format and tools to create my 4:33, or Exquisit Corpes Soundscape, project. I then submitted the file to Soundcloud.
